Pierre was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. He became a US citizen in 1999 and has represented the USA at numerous international competitions. Pierre has over twenty years experience training dressage horses and riders. Pierre and his longtime partner, Lucky Tiger, were members of the Gold Medal Winning US Dressage Team at the 2003 Pan American Games. Pierre and Lucky Tiger have had great success at the Grand Prix level over the past few years, including 2009 National Grand Prix Reserve Champions at the Festival of Champions in Gladstone, NJ. Also in 2009 Pierre and Lucky Tiger won the Lamplight CDI, were second at the Raleigh CDI and placed second in the Grand Prix for the Special at Devon. In 2010 Pierre and Lucky Tiger competed at the Exquis World Dressage Masters and placed eighth against some of the best horses and riders in the world. The pair was also named reserve alternates to the US Dressage Team for the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky following a strong performance at the 2010 Festival of Champions. After the US Training Camp, they went on to ride in the tests rides at the 2010 World Equestrian Games. Pierre's recent 2012 success with Lucky Tiger includes finishing 4th in the Grand Prix Special at the Dressage Masters and winning first place at the $120,000 5* West Palm Beach show, also in the Grand Prix Special. Pierre and his horse, Lucky Tiger, were recently selected and invited to compete in the 2012 Olympic Selection Trials in Gladstone where they had several fabulous performances, placing them 8th overall! Pierre is an excellent trainer and brings out the best in every horse that he works with. Pierre has the ability to work with all types and temperaments of horses ranging from the beginning stages with a young horse all the way to the most advanced stages required of the Grand Prix horses.
